History
The town of Casiguran was originally under the Province of Nueva Vizcaya. The date of its establishment could not be determined, although there is an unproved claim that it was founded in 1609.
Sometime in 1905 to 1908 the boundary of Quezon Province was extended to the north, making the municipality of Casiguran a part of Quezon.
Attractions
Most of the municipality's attractions are located by the shimmering waters of Casiguran Sound, an ideal locale
for surfing, windsurfing, snorkeling and scuba diving, as well as simple relaxation. Motyong, the site of a small airport, is a beautiful white-sand beach with largely unspoiled scenery.
